Frequently Asked Questions
About the Coaching
What is intimacy coaching?
Intimacy coaching supports you in dropping more deeply into your inner world, your body, your aliveness, and your capacity for connection — with yourself and with your partner. This is not traditional talk therapy. We work directly with your body, nervous system, breath, and energy to help you feel safe, present, and alive. The work addresses physical, emotional, mental, sexual, spiritual, and relational dimensions of intimacy.
Who is this coaching for?
I work with people who are seeking deeper intimacy, connection, and aliveness — people who have built genuinely good lives and feel, quietly and persistently, slightly separate from them.
About 60% of my clients are women in midlife, many of them mothers navigating the particular weight of this season — the demands of parenting and partnership alongside a longing to come back to themselves. Their desire has gone quiet somewhere along the way. Their bodies have not felt fully like their own in a long time. They are not in crisis — they are standing at a threshold, looking at the years ahead, and deciding that this is not as good as it gets.
About 40% are men who long for deeper intimacy and authentic connection and rarely have safe spaces to pursue it. Many are the partners of the women above, steady and showing up, quietly feeling the distance and wondering if something is wrong with them.
You might love your partner and feel the connection thinning. You might have no desire, or want to want it and not know how to find your way back. You have likely tried therapy, self-help, books, and maybe medical doctors without reaching the root. This work is for you if you are ready to reconnect with your aliveness and experience the depth of connection you are longing for.
Do you work with couples?
I am interested in working with couples- feel free to reach out directly about couples coaching.
What happens in a coaching session?
Sessions are 50 minutes and personalized to what you need. We typically begin with a check-in about what is present for you. Then we move into deeper exploration or guided practices — which might include breathwork, somatic awareness, energy work, or parts work. We close with integration and reflection, and I may offer take-home practices for you to use between sessions. Everything happens at your pace, with your consent.
Is this therapy?
No, this is coaching, not therapy. While I am a registered nurse with mental health awareness and 20 years of clinical experience, I am not a licensed therapist. If you are working with a therapist, coaching can be a wonderful complement to that work. If you are dealing with active trauma, severe depression, or other mental health crises, therapy is the appropriate first step.
The Approach
What makes your approach different?
Most approaches treat intimacy and disconnection as isolated problems — a medical issue, a communication problem, or a scheduling challenge. My approach addresses the root: the somatic, energetic, emotional, and relational dimensions all together. We work with your body and nervous system, not just your thoughts. This is holistic, trauma-informed work that honors your whole self and creates lasting change. And it comes from someone who has walked this path herself — as a mother, a partner, a woman navigating midlife. I speak from inside the experience, not from clinical distance.
What are somatic practices?
Somatic practices work directly with the body and nervous system to create healing and change. This might include body awareness exercises, movement, breathwork, learning to track sensations in your body, and energetic practices. These practices help you reconnect with your body's wisdom, release what you have been holding, and expand your capacity for presence and pleasure.
What is parts work?
Parts work, based on Internal Family Systems, recognizes that we all have different aspects of ourselves — parts that protect us, parts that hold pain, parts that want connection. We work compassionately with these parts to understand what they are trying to do for you and help them feel safe enough to relax their protective roles. This creates space for healing and wholeness.
Do I have to talk about sex?
We talk about whatever feels relevant and safe for you. While sexuality is part of intimacy, the work often begins with reconnecting with your body, creating safety in your nervous system, and meeting the emotional patterns that influence intimacy. We always honor your pace and your boundaries.
Logistics
How long do I need to commit to coaching?
The initial commitment is 12 weekly sessions over 3 months. This gives us time to build a solid foundation, go deeper, and begin to integrate real change. After the initial 12 sessions, you can continue month-to-month for as long as feels aligned. Clients can stop anytime, though transformation generally requires consistent commitment over time.
How much does coaching cost?
For a limited time sessions are $100 each. Payment is made after each session is delivered.
Do you offer payment plans?
Sessions are paid individually after they are delivered, so you are on a natural payment plan rather than paying a large sum upfront.
What if I'm concerned about cost?
I believe everyone deserves access to intimate healing and connection, regardless of their financial circumstances. If cost is a barrier for you, please reach out. I have a limited number of sliding scale spots available, and I'm happy to have a conversation about what might work for you.
Where are sessions held?
Sessions are offered online via Zoom, which allows you to be in the comfort and privacy of your own space. I respect your privacy — while I do take handwritten notes, I do not use an AI notetaker or recorder in session.
How do I schedule sessions?
After our initial conversation, you’ll have access to my online scheduling system and can self schedule sessions at a time that works with your schedule. Consistency helps with integration and momentum.
What's your cancellation policy?
I ask for 48 hours notice if you need to reschedule. Life happens - we'll work together to find times that honor both of our schedules.
Getting Started
How do I know if this is right for me?
If you feel disconnected from your body, your desire, your aliveness — and you have tried other approaches without reaching the root — this work may be exactly what you need. The best way to know is to schedule a free 30-minute conversation where we can talk about your specific situation and see if coaching feels like a good fit.
What if I'm nervous or scared?
That's completely normal and welcome. This work touches vulnerable places. In our initial conversation, we'll talk about what feels scary and make sure you feel safe and ready before we begin. Everything happens with your consent and at your pace.
Do I need to prepare anything before our first session?
Just come as you are. It's helpful to have a quiet, private space where you won't be interrupted, but otherwise no preparation is needed.
How do I get started?
Schedule a free initial conversation- we'll have a conversation about what you're experiencing, what you're hoping for, and whether coaching feels aligned for you. There's no pressure or obligation - it's simply a chance to connect and explore.
